Our client is a major, multi-franchised dealer and is currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced candidates for the position of Service Manager.
LOCATION
The role is located close to the water in the Wide Bay Region of Southeast Queensland. The town being a major centre in the region that is known as the "Southern Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef." It offers a coastal lifestyle without the hectic city atmosphere. All services such as education, health, shopping, and sporting facilities are available, and neighbouring towns are sure to appeal for seaside family living.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the General Manager/Dealer Principal, you will lead a small team of technical and administrative staff. Our client would like to hear from those candidates with prior automotive experience in either car, truck, or agriculture. The role is suited to an active manager who thrives on working with the team in the day-to-day operations of the business.
Your role will be to:
Lead your team, build trust & rapport. Strive for professional customer service whilst generating profitability of the department. Build effective relationships with internal/external manufacturer staff. Provide acceptable training for all service staff. Maximize efficiency & productivity from workshop technicians. Address reporting and administrative duties as required. Ensure equipment maintenance & compliance. We are looking for a strong leader with clear and concise communication. You would possess negotiation and dispute resolution skills, be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.
