QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.About the roleYou will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing high level of support to QBuild's maintenance contracts.Duties and skills involved: Planning and delivering maintenance contracts through the efficient supervision and development of office staff, field staff and subcontractors and the effective management of resources such as plant and equipment and information delivery systems. Monitoring and reviewing project and contract standards using effective work order management techniques that monitor and report to stakeholders on the status and quality of service, project contract delivery and expenditure, and achieve compliance with industry best practice and agreed cost and time parameters. Monitoring and maintaining all System and Plant equipment details in Ellipse and associated appropriate reporting methods. Managing regional resources to effectively deliver contracts ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and practices. Providing a high level of supervisory services in respect to the delivery of construction, maintenance and upgrade work undertaken by QBuild. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients and key external stakeholders through effective and regular communication, sound negotiation and the achievement of program outcomes which meet client expectations. Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles, including employment equity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety. Building and maintaining strong client relationships and promoting QBuild products and services to existing and prospective clients through regular meetings and established forums and identifying opportunities for new business services based on emerging trends in asset management. Support the Procurement Manager to align resources effectively across the Service Maintenance and Procurement stream workgroups.
