We are looking for a Service Leader/Technical Director in Geotechnics who will take a lead role in developing PDP's geotechnical presence in Wellington, Hawkes Bay & Invercargill. You will work across a variety of projects and further develop your skills and leadership expertise with the support of the Geotechnics team from around the country.
About the Role Develop engineering geology/geotechnical engineering business opportunities within PDP's existing and new clients Manage geotechnical projects (foundations, slope stability, dams, service corridors, and quarrying) Plan, write and review technical reports and provide input into engineering design Contract management including cost estimating, tender and contract preparation, and construction management Work across other work groups at PDP, particularly in contaminated land, water infrastructure, and water resources Work with a range of clients from local authorities to private companies Liaise with regulators and other relevant bodies What You'll Bring Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology (or equivalent) Minimum 3-10 years experience as a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist (experience with a professional consultancy is preferred) Ideally Chartered Professional Engineer/Engineering Geologist status with Engineering New Zealand Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven leadership skills Creative thinking to find innovative solutions for our clients What We Offer At PDP, we believe a great company is built by great people.
