We are a well-established, family-owned, market-leading business located on Sydney's Northern Beaches, supplying and maintaining food processing equipment and ingredients to businesses around Australia.About the roleThe Service and Maintenance Team Lead plays a vital role in leading and guiding a team of technical professionals to efficiently deliver maintenance and installation services to customers and internal stakeholders.This position is responsible for providing direction, support, and expertise to the team, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards of quality.Key ResponsibilitiesRecruit, train, and manage a team of technical professionals and other specialised roles.Set clear performance expectations, goals, and priorities for team members.Plan and coordinate service activities and installations both with customers and internal stakeholders.Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.Allocate resources, assign tasks, and set project priorities to meet organisational goals.Collaborate with other departments or cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and success.Maintain a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the projects and products the team is working on.Assist team members in problem-solving, technical challenges, and making critical decisions.Ensure that records are accurately completed for all service activities.Prepare and present reports on key performance metrics to senior management.Review and approve technical team time sheets and provide utilization data as required.Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained.Develop and track key performance metrics and indicators to measure the team's performance and project success.Continuously assess and improve support processes and workflow.Act as a liaison between the technical team and senior management.Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.About youYou should be competent with the Microsoft Office suite of software.You should be prepared to be hands-on with our customers' equipment in order to learn about the operation and maintenance of each piece of equipment.You will have an electrical or mechanical trade or relevant professional qualifications.You should have:Proven experience in a technical leadership or management role.Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools.The capability to learn in-depth technical knowledge relevant to the team's area of expertise.Familiarity with industry-specific tools and technologies.Applicants must currently be resident in Australia and must be either an Australian citizen or permanent resident with full working rights.
