What you'll be doing
We are seeking a highly skilled Server Engineer with the ability to work in a demanding environment with an enthusiastic sense of customer support.
You will need to communicate and coordinate with clients as well as other technology groups in a complex environment.
The role will involve:
• Delivery of technical support for the client/server environment
• Maintaining backups and disaster recovery tooling and capabilities
• Patching and upgrading supported systems in line with policy
• Liaise with service providers to investigate and resolve issues with supported infrastructure and applications
• Assist in creating and maintaining a knowledgebase of documentation such as as-builts for supported systems
• Ensure timely resolution of incidents against SLA
Working Conditions
• Based in Brisbane
• Permanent full time
• Occasional travel
What will make you successful in this role?
• Experience supporting Windows Server including DNS, AD, Group Policy, Print Management, File Services, DHCP.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, MS Hyper-V, Citrix Hypervisor, etc.
• Experience with converged and hyperconverged Data Centre technologies such as Dell VxRail, Nutanix HCI, etc.
• Experience with enterprise storage solutions such as NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, etc.
• Basic understanding of Azure/AWS and cloud concepts.
• Experience with Data protection technologies such as Veeam, Commvault, etc.
• Experience with patching Windows systems via MECM.
• PowerShell Scripting for automation.
• Experience with Mining Sector and Process Control Environments.
• Highly Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), VMware Certified Professional (VCP)).
