If you're ready to make your mark in a thriving industry and be part of a team that's reshaping the pet care landscape, we want to hear from you.What you'll be doingArchitect advanced SEO strategies aimed at maximising organic traffic, elevating search engine rankings, and driving significant sales and profit growth across the business.Enhance the SEO performance of key pages (both transactional and non-transactional) by implementing sophisticated optimization techniques, leading to substantial non-branded organic growth and conversion improvements.Lead comprehensive SEO audits to uncover and prioritise high-impact opportunities for optimization, driving both immediate and long-term gains in visibility and performance.Execute on-page SEO initiatives, including in-depth content optimisation, meta tag enhancements, and sophisticated URL structuring, ensuring adherence to the latest algorithmic advancements.Direct complex internal linking strategies and implement structured data solutions to refine site architecture and amplify search engine visibility.Oversee strategic off-page SEO efforts, identifying and securing high-value link acquisition opportunities to fortify site authority and domain trust.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators and category managers, to ensure the integration of SEO best practices across all content, aligning with business goals and enhancing relevance and consistency.Resolve technical SEO challenges, including optimising site speed, enhancing mobile responsiveness, and improving crawlability, ensuring the website maintains peak performance in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.Leverage advanced SEO tools to rigorously monitor site performance, providing strategic insights and detailed reporting to key stakeholders, driving informed decision-making.Lead the SEO replatforming project, managing the process in partnership with our agency, and ensuring a seamless transition with sustained or enhanced SEO performance post-replatforming.Your Ideal Skills & Experience5+ years of proven experience in SEO (e-commerce sector highly desirable).Experience scaling large, highly templated e-commerce or marketplace websites with thousands of pages and working within complex site architectures.Expertise in Google's product suite & other relevant tools, including but not limited to Google Search Console, GA4, Semrush, and advanced crawling tools.Proficient in HTML; knowledge of JavaScript and CSS is highly advantageous.A highly motivated, detail-oriented individual who thrives on ownership, responsibility, and driving measurable outcomes.Ability to analyse large datasets, extract actionable insights, and compile comprehensive SEO reports that influence decision-making at the senior level.A hands-on leader who is willing to roll up their sleeves to achieve results while mentoring junior team members.Passionate about learning and staying at the forefront of digital industry trends, with a deep curiosity for new tools and techniques.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams and functions to align on and achieve shared objectives.A strong passion for the pet category is highly desirable, reflecting a commitment to understanding and influencing customer behaviour in this niche market.Role LocationAt Pet Circle we believe that collaboration and team connection is key for success. This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement of 3 days per week in our pet friendly offices and the remainder working from home (or the office, if you prefer!)
