Through ongoing organic growth, Senversa has a new opportunity for a Senior Principal/Principal Environmental Consultant with 12+ years' experience to join our Newcastle team.
This is your opportunity to enhance our Contaminated Land team by utilising your leadership, technical and project direction skills in delivering a broad range of projects across the industry for government and private sectors alongside our industry leading staff who have a proven track record of delivering high quality, strategic and commercially astute professional services to federal, state, and local government entities, together with large multi-national private and public companies. You will work with, and be supported by, a team of highly qualified and experienced contaminated land scientists and have access to our team of NSW EPA accredited auditors.
At Senversa, our Contaminated Land team is complemented by our Engineering, Environmental Management and Approvals, and Digital Teams in delivering multi-disciplinary remediation projects for our clients. You will enjoy being a key role within integrated multi-disciplinary teams of environmental scientists, civil engineers, hydrogeologists, and contaminated land professionals to provide our clients with high value solutions.

So what will you do?
Project directing the delivery of technically challenging site investigation and remediation programs. Leading business development initiatives, including client liaison and management. Providing technical direction, coaching and mentoring to junior team members. Office leadership that supports Senversa's visions and values as "the most satisfying workplace for quality environmental, geosciences, and waste management professionals". What will you bring to the team?
Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, environmental engineering, science, planning or other disciplines relevant to contaminated land assessments and remediation. A minimum of 12 years' experience in environmental consulting specialising in contaminated land projects. External accreditation (e.g. CEnvP – Site Contamination Specialist) preferred and supported in the role. Demonstrated experience in project directing contaminated land projects with successful outcomes. Technical specialty skills in one or more of the following areas: human health and/or ecological risk assessment, in-situ groundwater remediation, management of asbestos in soils, complex hydrogeological assessment, waste/landfill management and/or audit support. Strong connections with the New South Wales market and associated contaminated land sector. Ability to promote Senversa nationally by assisting principal staff with business development and marketing initiatives. Strong knowledge of local, State and National environmental standards and guidelines. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers and clients. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
