Senior Workers Compensation Pay Advisor Location : Burwood East and other locations in Melbourne

Key Duties Process and manage workers compensation payments across multiple sites, ensuring all affected staff are paid accurately and on time Interpret and ensure adherence to relevant awards, enterprise agreements, and legislative requirements Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate records for audit purposes Configure and maintain auto pay settings for ongoing workers compensation payments Maintain effective relationships with the payroll team, People & Culture, and external stakeholders including our Work Cover insurer Provide technical advice on complex workers compensation payment matters Analyse and verify accuracy of all payroll information and maintain an in-depth understanding of payroll processing Provide solutions to create efficient sharing of data with absence of a system Conduct system audits to ensure robust internal controls and risk mitigation Ensure accurate PAYG reporting and compliance for workers compensation payments To be successful in these roles you will possess the following: Extensive experience in end-to-end payroll processing, specifically related to workers compensation Strong understanding of workers compensation governance and legislative requirements Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processes including auto pays, PAYG, tax implications, and general payroll administration Sound understanding of the financial implications of claims management and WorkCover premiums Demonstrated technical knowledge of the Victorian workers' compensation framework Experience with computerized payroll systems and time and attendance software Strong expertise in payroll tax obligations and compliance requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities High level of attention to detail and accuracy A focus on providing a positive customer experience Apply creative-thinking techniques to generate new ideas and options Specialist / Technical / IT Expertise Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills including PowerPoint and Word Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel Experience with payroll systems and time and attendance software Experience with workers compensation payment systems. Support the identification of systems and process improvement initiatives, including new technologies where relevant Essential Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related discipline Relevant payroll certification or equivalent Extensive experience in workers compensation payments Other Essential Requirements: Applicants must be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or a Permanent Resident Employment subject to National Police Check clearance Pre-employment Medical Declaration required The successful candidate will join a team that embraces challenge, change and is passionate about making a positive impact on millions of Victorians.
