Senior Wintel Technician

Details of the offer

Facilitate the design, build and distribution of secure ICT infrastructure.Ensure technical solutions are aligned with best practice and relevant governance and security principles and frameworks.Analyse, log, track and resolve complex issues pertaining to ICT infrastructure and applications.Assist with the development of build defect remediation.Create and peer review Standard Operating Procedure documentation (SOPs), build guides and related artefacts.Identify and assess technical risks, and collaborate with project stakeholders to inform and provide mitigation options and caveats.Provide SME advice to the customer and internal & external stakeholders.Required Skills and Experience:Experience working in Defence as a Senior Wintel Technician.Technical leadership experience in delivery and support of Defence systems.Technical mentoring and supporting of other SME's within the Wintel team.Demonstrated experience in the build, deploy and support of the following Microsoft technologies:Windows Server 2019SQLActive DirectoryGroup PolicyDNSPKIVMWare VCFPowershellDemonstrated experience developing and managing highly available/fault tolerant systems, networks and infrastructure in a connected, partially connected, degraded or often disconnected state.Demonstrated ability to take customer requirements, standards and frameworks and apply in a practical application to future proposed solution designs and systems.Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with demonstrable experience of presentation and engagement with stakeholders, projects and business areas.Knowledge and experience of the SEA2273 Minerva systems.Knowledge and experience with Nutanix.Demonstrated ability to rapidly build, automate and deliver proof of concept systems to support analysis, testing, accreditation and development activities.Experience with governance frameworks in relation to infrastructure service and security delivery including required subsystems (i.e. Australia Information Security Manual (ISM)).Experience with ADF deployed environments/platforms and the unique networking, support and security constraints.Company Overview: Kirra Services is a Supply Nation Certified ICT Service Provider, specialising in Hardware and Software procurement for Government, Corporate, SME and Not-for-Profit sectors.
