Senior Water Scientist or Process Engineer | BrisbaneBrisbane, QLD, Australia Bligh Tanner has an opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Scientist or Engineer with 5+ years experience to work with one of Australia's most innovative engineering practices. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Bligh Tanner is a structural, façade, civil, environmental and water science engineering consultancy distinguished by its high level of expertise, personalised service and reputation for delivering innovation on all projects.
Over the past 23 years, the firm has been responsible for some of Queensland's most innovative and complex engineering projects, from multimillion dollar special structures, through to world leading integrated water management systems.

The Role We're looking for a candidate to join our award-winning team. To be successful, you will have demonstrated technical excellence in water and wastewater management, be a great communicator, and have a passion to help bring about more sustainable and innovative approaches to water management.
This challenging role will vary from time to time based on the needs of our clients and the strategic direction of the business.
The right candidate will have skills and experience across many of the following:
Drinking Water Quality ManagementDemonstrated understanding of water treatment processesStrong knowledge of the ADWG and its applicationAlternative/supplementary water suppliesWastewater managementWater harvesting, recycling and reuseEconomic assessments and business casesPrevious consulting experience, and can demonstrate successful project deliveryResponsibilities Your overall responsibility will be:
The investigation, planning, and delivery of water quality management projectsLeading, mentoring and training staff (this can include clients)Marketing and business developmentWhat We'd Like (Selection Criteria) Well-developed leadership and communication skillsDemonstrated commitment to innovation and sustainabilityDemonstrated technical excellence and an ability to take responsibility for the technical quality of your own workDemonstrated ability to foster and grow professional networks and attract new businessDemonstrated understanding of relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks, guidelines and codes, relating to water management in our market areasDemonstrated track record in consultingRelevant qualifications: Degree qualified in a relevant science or engineering field.
