The Opportunity The Senior Venue Officer at the City of Perth supports the Team Leader Town Hall in the ongoing development of the Perth Town Hall as a heritage venue for hire. The position supervises personnel, coordinates day-to-day operations, and contributes to the delivery of functions and events. The position works collaboratively to meet work health and safety requirements, maintain compliance of the venue and operations, and deliver excellent customer service.
Reporting to the Team Leader Town Hall, your responsibilities would primarily include:
Work with the Team Leader Town Hall to coordinate venue logistics and event planning, negotiating logistics, risks, customer needs, and audio-visual requirements;Work with the Booking Officer and Team Leader, Town Hall to manage customer enquiries, bookings, and site visits, to optimise utilisation of the venue;Manage the supply, staffing, and sale of alcohol within the venue as directed, ensuring compliance with relevant licensing laws and regulations;Supervise and provide direction to Venue Officers, ensuring high-quality event delivery, technical support, and customer service.About You To succeed in this role, you will possess:
A minimum of one year demonstrated experience in venue hire and management;Demonstrated knowledge of audio-visual systems and a high level of technical ability;Experience in supervising a small team;Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.If your experience and capabilities match these criteria, we welcome your application.
