Product Management & Development (Information & Communication Technology) Full time Oxford University Press Australia & New Zealand is welcoming applications for the role of Senior UX & UI Designer to join our Product team. This full-time, ongoing position offers a unique opportunity for a capable and highly motivated individual to join our award-winning team and work for one of the world's largest and most respected educational brands.
The successful applicant will be responsible for creating user-centred UX and UI design for the Company's customer-facing platforms. We aim to increase educator and learner user engagement and user satisfaction, and to enhance teaching and learning experiences to support achievement of education outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Work with the Digital Product Manager and Product Owners to ensure digital product vision is clear and reflected in all UX and UI designs. Plan and prioritise design work according to business priorities.Develop and maintain collegial relationships and productive working practices with internal and external stakeholders. Work in partnership with others with an open mindset and can-do attitude.Lead and advocate for inclusive, aesthetically appealing, and intuitive user interface design of Company's customer-facing platforms.Understand the needs of our educator and student users and how best to translate their needs and preferences into design solutions, making sure that each component of the product is in its most logical, accessible place and that multi-step processes are streamlined and intuitive.Coach and mentor other team members on user-centred, inclusive and accessible design practices.Key attributes: Minimum 8 years' experience in UX/UI design strategy and delivery, creating accessible and inclusive design.Extensive experience designing with adherence to WCAG 2.1 (or later) accessibility guidelines.Advanced proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools - static, interactive, and digital.Advanced proficiency and work experience with HTML, CSS and front-end frameworks.Exceptional attention to detail.Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload and always meet deadlines.Works successfully independently and as part of a team.In return, we offer: Flexible working, with Mondays and Fridays working from home and a fortnightly Friday afternoon off.Salary packaging and other enterprise-level benefits.Creative, dynamic and collaborative working environment.Employee assistance and wellbeing program.Varied learning and development opportunities.Contemporary Docklands office (close to Southern Cross Station).Apply now!
