About the Role
As a Senior UX Design Lead working in the Digital Design team within the Operational Performance Group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of product and service experiences for students. You will join a broader team of design and service improvement experts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences. Depending on the project, you will be involved across the design process from research and ideation to prototyping and testing, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality experiences for students.
Your responsibilities will include: Managing complex UX projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timely and scoped execution of design objectives.Fostering strong relationships with stakeholders to align on project goals and priorities.Conducting user research, creating prototypes, and planning user testing to inform design decisions and optimize user experience.Who we are looking for
We are seeking a highly skilled UX professional with a proven track record of leading complex projects from inception to delivery. The ideal candidate possesses strong user research and usability testing expertise, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Experience in Agile environments and a passion for innovative design are essential.
You will also have: Tertiary qualifications which may be in one of the following fields of study: Design, Business Design, Social Sciences, Marketing, Anthropology, Psychology, Systems Thinking or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.Strong proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.Expert understanding of Human-Centred Design and Design Thinking methodologies and tools.This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures. Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This role requires current valid work rights for Australia.
