We are searching for a highly skilled, detail-driven, Senior Trust Accountant, with a keen eye for accuracy and financial compliance. As our Senior Trust Accountant, you will be partnering with the Senior Finance Manager, where you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive financial support across Investa Mandates, and other investment vehicles. This role will have you engaged in financial reporting, tax compliance, and analytical work, where your contributions will support strategic decision-making and help optimise the financial integrity of our property portfolios.At Investa, we recognise that partnerships are at the heart of successful financial management. In this role, you will establish and foster relationships with internal teams—Fund Managers, Property Analysts, Treasury and much more—as well as with external auditors and tax advisors.Key Responsibilities:Monthly Financial ReportingPrepare and maintain accurate monthly reconciliations, ensuring integrity in Trust transactions and accounts.Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and deliver detailed reporting to Fund teams, using a clear and organised Fund Reporting Pack that provides critical analysis of financial outcomes.Work closely with the Property Management Accounting team to review and analyse monthly property results, ensuring any discrepancies are clearly understood and documented.Support financial aspects of monthly and quarterly Fund reports, with a careful eye on debt compliance, and assist in maintaining comprehensive and compliant fund-level financial data.Annual and Half-Year Reporting for CompliancePrepare, consolidate, and support the Finance team in producing accurate statutory accounts and management accounts, using Workiva for seamless preparation and presentation.Organise and review the audit packages, respond promptly to auditor queries, and ensure detailed, transparent communication with external auditors.Accurately calculate and monitor debt compliance certificates (ICR, LVR calculations) and ensure timely, compliant fund distribution processes.Detailed Tax Reporting and Regulatory ComplianceOversee the timely and accurate preparation of BAS lodgements, ensuring tax compliance and thorough documentation for all returns.Assist in managing distribution statements and payments with precise attention to calculation details, schedules, and reporting requirements.Prepare fixed asset registers and cost base calculations with thorough detail, guaranteeing all tax and accounting requirements are met and recorded appropriately.What You Bring to the Role:Qualifications: Degree in Commerce or Business, majoring in accounting. You are CA or CPA certified, or working toward your certification with commitment and diligence.Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting, with proven experience in balance sheet reconciliation, tax calculations, and BAS preparations in similar roles.Skillset: Advanced Excel skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise and meet critical deadlines. Your interpersonal and communication skills ensure clear, efficient interactions with both internal teams and external partners.Knowledge: Demonstrated application of accounting principles and a strong working knowledge of GST and Income Tax laws, allowing you to approach complex tasks with confidence and thorough understanding.Why join Investa?We're an organisation known for its culture – it's unique, friendly and transparent.
