This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of testing outcomes that meet business quality standards. The Senior Test Analyst will report to the Testing Lead, playing a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities while maintaining communication with both internal and external teams. This position requires a detail-oriented approach to testing, ensuring that deliverables meet the required quality before being handed over to business stakeholders.We are seeking a Senior Test Analyst to lead the development and execution of detailed test plans, ensure seamless collaboration with stakeholders, and manage defect resolution processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in project delivery, stakeholder management, and resource mobilization while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and customer-focused work environment.Position Outcomes / AccountabilitiesDevelop and maintain detailed test plans, effectively communicate progress, and collaborate with business representatives to agree on testing results.Collaborate seamlessly with testers, business stakeholders, vendors, and third parties to guarantee the successful completion of system, integration, and acceptance testing.Take the lead in developing testing requirements and scenarios, ensuring alignment with the overarching project goals and objectives.Proactively identify gaps and associated risks and collaborate with the project team to address them effectively.Document, plan, and actively participate in test execution, leveraging automation for test suites wherever possible.Manage the defect management process by coordinating with business stakeholders, vendor teams, and relevant SMEs to log, triage, validate, and close defects.Engage with internal teams (development, business analysis, project management) and external stakeholders, reporting to the Test Lead or, in their absence, the Change and Test Practice Lead, to foster collaboration, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high levels of team cohesion and commitment.Produce relevant test reports, including Test Execution, Defect & Test Summary, to keep stakeholders informed.Establish and manage comprehensive test environments, ensuring systematic preparation of test data for various testing phases.Advocate for a work environment that prioritizes safety and inclusivity and supports flexible team operations to enhance overall productivity and well-being.In line with Section 31A of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic) other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities.Qualifications and ExperienceMandatoryMinimum 10 years of experience in Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid projects.Mandatory experience with tools – TestRail, JIRA, ALM.Experience in IT Projects in Government Sector.Experience in IDAM (Identity Management), Cybersecurity or Corporate Platforms.Demonstrated success adapting to a fast-paced environment.
