Aspirante is working with a local government department to help them find an experienced Senior Test Analyst (STA) on a contract basis, responsible for coordinating, supporting, advising, and delivering comprehensive testing and quality assurance (QA) activities for a key ICT solution. This role will utilize risk and requirements-based testing principles, ensuring testing and quality outcomes meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities: Lead software testing and QA activities across solutions and be accountable for high-quality testing outcomes. Develop deep business and technical understanding of project objectives, analyzing customer requirements to ensure effective testing. Apply Test Policy, Strategy, and Framework to define and support testing activities, managing test environments, test data, technical support, and documentation. Utilize expertise to plan, execute, and maintain various testing approaches, including: Functional Testing: Apply ISTQB techniques to create reusable test automation artifacts. Non-Functional Testing: Focus on ICT quality characteristics. Automation Testing: Design and develop scripts and frameworks; manage risks and issues. Regression & E2E Testing: Validate and quality-assure business scenarios and requirements. Assist with defect management, triage, root cause analysis, and trend metrics. Coach and mentor team members on testing practices, ensuring standards and tools are upheld. Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate testing outcomes and quality benefits, ensuring quality throughout each SDLC phase. Implement and ensure best-practice ICT testing frameworks, including strategies, policies, and templates. Proactively develop and maintain knowledge in testing and IT solutions, sharing insights and supporting skill development across the team. Essential Requirements: ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or international equivalent. Desirable Skills & Experience: Recent experience with functional testing. Proficiency in basic SQL writing and execution. Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
