Senior Technology Officer

The successful candidate will provide high quality customer service and technical support to all Queensland Health and external clients by providing frontline support via telephone, email and online communication tools whilst adhering to department standards, policies and processes.

Role responsibilities: Register incident/requests into an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) tracking system.Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe, services and workplaces.Provide high quality technical support, adhering to department standards, policies, procedures and ITSM processes in order to maintain defined enterprise service levels.Assist management in decision making by providing sound oral and written advice including technical reports and specifications and trend analysis within eHealth Queensland.You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience.
Within the context of the responsibilities described above under 'Key Responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing).Understanding of telecommunication voice and data vendor service offerings to enable formulation of recommendations for improvements.Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, organise and set realistic timeframes to achieve desired outcomes and to meet deadlines for both self and team (NHS: Drive for results).Proven experience in development of processes and procedures and ability to engage others in implementation of those procedures and policies.Specific Working Conditions: Previous clinical health application support experience preferred.Participation in on-call arrangements is required for this position.This position has a requirement to travel and work at different locations across Queensland Hospital and Health Services.Benefits of working with eHealth Queensland:
