Senior Technology Lawyer (Commercial/Contracts) WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Senior Technology Lawyer - Commercial Contracts (Full-time, Permanent) to join our team. This is an opportunity to work with an essential organisation creating a more sustainable future for the state.

What you'll do:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts for WaterNSW, with a major focus on IT/software and data sharing agreements, construction, professional services, and other procurement contracts, including inter-governmental contracts.
Provide strategic and technically sound legal advice to enable WaterNSW to assess legal risks and make sound decisions on complex contractual and commercial matters.
Partner with various internal stakeholders through the provision of advice and support in relation to legal and commercial issues, including project delivery.
Advise WaterNSW on project-related legal issues, contract interpretation, and contractual disputes.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of a range of contract templates that support the commercial, operational, and strategic objectives of WaterNSW, and assist in the implementation of the templates across the business including training key staff.
What we are looking for:
Tertiary qualifications in law [with at least 5+ years' post qualification experience working either in house and/or with a top tier law firm.]
Admission as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory (currently holding, or eligible to hold a NSW practising certificate)
Pro-active, agile mindset and strong problem-solving and influencing skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
Significant experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of complex commercial contracts.
Experience in advising on legal and commercial risks.
Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework applicable to a State Owned Corporation or other Government entity is desirable.

Salary: Commencement Salary: $109,074 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
Salary: $141,090 - $167,217 total remuneration package
Salary: Attractive salary - negotiable depending on experience
Salary: Salary from $135,199 pa + 13% Superannuation
