The position will provide leadership and manage projects with focus on organic compound identification and quantitation in solid, liquid and gaseous samples using chromatography and mass spectrometry, in particular GC-MS and LC-MS instrumentation.

CARF is predominantly located within the Science and Engineering Centre with additional nodes at the Gardens Point campus and distributed sites..What you need to succeedEducation, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a degree in relevant technology area, with at least four years subsequent relevant experience.Evidence of exceptional performance in conducting and troubleshooting metabolomics/metabolite chemical profiling experiments.Experience with processing, interpretation and reporting of analytical data.Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills in support of brokering collaborations with both internal and external stakeholders as well as promoting connectivity with industry clients.Demonstrated ability to interact with a wide range of users, projects and samples to provide training and support to clients and achieve excellent research outcomes.Experience with developing and delivering training materials for enhancing user experiences.Evidence of innovative approaches to problem solving and contribution to an agenda of continuous improvement in operational processes.Knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of policies and procedures (including ethics and intellectual property) associated with the establishment of research and commercial projects in a University context.Life at QUTWe're committed to building a culture that fosters connection between people and purpose.
