An exciting opportunity is available for a high-performing individual to join the Engineering & Technology (E&T) branch of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) as a Senior Technical Program Advisor.

In the AO6 Senior Technical Program Advisor role, you will provide leadership in managing E&T support for infrastructure projects.
You will act as a liaison between E&T Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and project teams, including external stakeholders, to ensure the effective provision of technical reviews, business services, and other support for significant infrastructure projects.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Liaising with project teams to clarify technical requirements and levels of support, and distributing requests appropriately across E&T to ensure timely SME input.Supporting E&T SMEs in ensuring that comments on infrastructure design packages meet contractual obligations and TMR requirements.Facilitating E&T attendance at project briefings, design workshops, closeout meetings, and site inspections to ensure appropriate representation.Representing E&T in project activities such as workshops on options analysis, value management, risk assessment, safety in design, sustainability, and business cases.Managing financial reporting, reconciling anomalies, monitoring expenditure, and producing finalization reports for project managers.Preparing and coordinating briefing papers, submissions, and reports related to E&T inputs into infrastructure projects.To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate the following:

As this role involves access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be conducted prior to appointment.Highly desirable qualifications and experience:
Qualifications in project management.Experience in a multidisciplinary engineering and/or technical environment.Requirements of the role:
Promote project management practices within E&T to align with the OnQ framework, TMR's project management framework.Liaise with the Program Management and Delivery Office (PMD), Public Utilities Management Team to provide E&T support for Corridor Management across TMR regions.Monitor consultancy briefs, project budgets, and resource needs, including negotiating with project teams on variations when necessary.Assist in negotiating agreements with clients regarding service levels, relationship management protocols, and ensuring value for money.Why join us?
