About the Role
You will provide expert technical services on a laser physics/engineering research project, particularly in the areas of electronics, computer controlled instrumentation, mechanical fabrication, drafting and design (CAD) and manufacturing engineering.
Essential Skills and Experience
A bachelor qualification in Engineering/science, or commensurate relevant experience; or, relevant a trade qualification with subsequent relevant experience Experience writing code and working with data acquisition/control/processing software such as LabVIEW or MATLAB Demonstrated proficiency in building prototypes or product/device development under minimal supervision and guidance Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to precisely follow instructions. Sound written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and computer literacy to effectively record and report project activities, communicate operating instructions, and discuss observations with staff, students and external clients Benefits
