How will I Help? This is a fantastic opportunity for a permanent role with Qvalent, a fintech wholly owned by Westpac Banking Corporation. Qvalent provides web-based software and support services that enable organisations to streamline their financial business processes.
As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, building and implementing solutions using our Qvalent products to solve our customer's business problems. You will also ensure that deliverables are clearly defined and documented, input and ownership by the key stakeholders is obtained and deadlines are met. The role offers extensive interaction with customers.
This role is a client facing role and is responsible for delivery of technical implementations of Qvalent solutions to new and existing corporate and institutional customers. Reporting to the Delivery Team Leader in Qvalent, you will work closely with various Implementation, Sales and Service Teams in Westpac to ensure customer implementations are delivered with superior results.
Key Accountabilities Manage the design, implementation and testing of Qvalent product implementations and change requests. Create and maintain detailed records of implementation tasks during the delivery process. Identify and diagnose technical problems, troubleshoot, and provide solutions for customers. Escalate complex issues to senior delivery staff or other internal teams when necessary. Become knowledgeable in Qvalent applications and keep up-to-date with the latest features and enhancements in order to implement the best possible customer solutions. Participate in customer scoping workshops and presales activities. What do I need? To be successful you will have the following:
Strong analytical and technical skills. Previous experience in systems integration. Strong technical problem solving background. Software development and system testing experience. Some business analysis and design experience. System integration experience - RESTful APIs, SOAP and SFTP. Experience with Java (or similar programming language). Working experience with Atlassian products, Jira, Confluence, etc. Very organised with an emphasis on attention to detail. Ability to manage a number of small projects concurrently. Strong written and verbal communication, time management and coordination skills. Nice to have but not mandatory - Knowledge of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This position would be well suited to a person who has 3 to 5 years of experience as a software developer or systems integrator who wants to progress their career as a Technical Business Analyst.
