Program Overview Our Saint Johns & Saint Margarets services provide support to young men and women aged between 16 and 25 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, to work towards stability in their living arrangements. Each site provides an environment of safety and respect to address specific needs in areas such as income, housing, health, relationships, legal, education and employment.
To Be Successful You Will Need The Ability to effectively lead a team to deliver service programs and ensure they remain aligned with organisational goals and objectives. Extensive experience working within government funded programs. Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies, community organisations, and other service providers to promote the organisation and its services. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the capacity to motivate and effectively lead a team. Prior people management experience including recruitment, rostering, supervision, coaching and providing feedback, as well as performance management. Comprehensive knowledge of organisational programs, policies, and operations. Tertiary qualifications combined with relevant industry experience or extensive industry experience. Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities will be highly regarded. Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds will be highly regarded. ANQL has experience in a broad range of Service Areas across the region which include Housing and Homelessness, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Out of Home Care for Young people, Public Diversionary and Community Outreach services. ANQL works towards reducing systemic social disadvantage in Australia and the organisation has operated throughout this region for over 30 years.
Across the region ANQL employs over 200 staff and volunteers and encourages in its operations social diversity, access and inclusion, community and consumer participation (where this is applicable).
The organisation is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors based providing regional representation and the operations are managed by the Chief Executive Officer. ANQL board members are committed to being independent in nature, taking ultimate responsibility in ensuring effective mechanisms are in place that enable collective decision making, with clear policies and procedures to ensure that all legal, ethical and social responsibilities are fulfilled.
