What you'll do Reporting to the Group Taxation Manager, this role will:
Provide technical advice and support to the Corporate Office and businesses within the Wesfarmers GroupAssist in the lodgement of the Group's income tax returns, both in Australia and globallyProvide tax advice in respect of a diverse range of businesses and commercial transactions, including potential M&A opportunitiesEnsure the Group is meeting all tax compliance obligations, including foreign and cross border tax issues in respect of the Group's offshore businessesProvide dedicated support to tax teams within our businesses as requiredWhat you'll need At least 8 years taxation experience, across a broad range of income tax and other tax mattersExperience in a similar role within a large advisory firm or corporate environmentExceptional research, analytical and problem-solving skillsWell-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to positively influence key stakeholdersAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to prioritise in a busy environment and adopt a pragmatic approach to ensure a quick turnaround when providing adviceA genuine interest and passion to learn and develop new skillsTertiary qualification in Commerce or a related discipline and have completed CA/CPA accreditationNext steps If this sounds like your next career move, then combine your cover letter and resume into one document and click on the 'Apply' button by Wednesday 18 December 2024.
