About the role RACQ is seeking a Senior Taxation Accountant to join our team in a hands-on role, ensuring the RACQ Group meets its tax obligations with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and State Revenue Offices.
You will provide high-quality taxation support across the RACQ Group, playing a key role in managing a range of complex tax responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage RACQ's tax obligations, ensuring full compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations.Provide strategic advice and support to internal stakeholders regarding the interpretation and application of taxation laws.Manage tax reporting and the preparation of taxation filings, working closely with both the ATO and State Revenue Offices.Apply your strong understanding of Australian tax and accounting standards to manage the taxation obligations of a complex corporation.Develop and present financial reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity, particularly with large volumes of financial information.About you Joining RACQ means becoming part of a reputable, member-focused organisation where your contributions make a difference.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
7+ years of relevant experience in taxation, either in industry or professional practice.CA or CPA qualified, with in-depth knowledge of Australian taxation acts and regulations.Proven experience managing and leading teams, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.Strong financial literacy and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.Advanced Excel skills, able to work with large data sets and present financial information accurately and clearly.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.Critical thinking and an enquiring mind, with the courage to speak up when necessary and a commitment to continuous improvement.A Master of Tax qualification will be highly regarded.Why join RACQ?
