UGL now have a vacancy for an experienced Cost Controller. This position will be based on various sites in Southeast and Central Queensland and reports to the Project Lead.
The Cost Controller is responsible for providing timely cost expertise by monitoring, analysing and reporting on project progress and costs.
This position will support our Operations team in the Services division, with the focus on power station outages.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Provide strong focus on cost trending and forecasting Establish and monitor project baseline budgets Produce regular cost reports and at times present to the client outage leadership team Maintain time sheeting system and implement changes to scope Monitor and report on cost actuals vs budget Liaison with financial team for compiling and submitting client progress claims Strictly adhere to both UGL and client's safety and environmental systems and standards About You: Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, engineering, finance or similar preferred Minimum 2 years practical experience in a similar role or proven capability using excel/SAP Demonstrated experience with cost management tools (excel, SAP, Power Bi, SharePoint) Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills Strong conflict resolution skills coupled with the ability to work independently, prioritise demands, and learn quickly Proficient skills across the MS Suite and other programs for cost reporting What we offer: A chance to join a 6,000+ strong organisation owned by the CIMIC Group, one of the world's leading international contractors Be part of an exceptional team working on power station outages Competitive remuneration package What makes you right for UGL: You have a can-do attitude You want to be part of a high performing team You believe success and value are driven by real teams where everyone has a role to play About Us: UGL Pty Limited is a leading provider of end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services.
