Work with a tier 1 leadership group in a complex environment. This is an excellent first move from a chartered environment where you can leverage experience working within corporate tax compliance.
Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of direct and indirect tax returns including GST, FBT, and income tax. Ensure timely and accurate quarterly tax forecasting and year-end income tax reporting. Identify, develop, and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency of tax processes, driving continuous improvement. Assist in managing tax audits and reviews by regulatory authorities, ensuring robust compliance with existing tax regulations. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development. Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CA / CPA (or close to qualification) is highly preferred. Experience in tax roles within large, complex corporate environments or major chartered accounting firms. Hands-on experience in preparing company tax returns and other compliance tasks is essential, with knowledge of tax effect accounting being a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of explaining complex tax matters clearly and concisely. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Experience with tax software, (eg: CCH Integrator / FBT OneSource), an advantage.
