Senior Systems Engineer - Aws / Linux / Networking

A growing FinTech provider is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with solid networking, AWS and Linux experience to join their team on a permanent basis.Working in a small, close-knit team, you will be responsible for supporting an environment which has 250+ end users spread across multiple locations in Australia.In this position, you will have a number of key responsibilities which will include managing and supporting their core network environment which leverages Cisco routers / switches and Juniper firewalls. They are still a mostly on-prem environment with plans to migrate to the cloud - any AWS skills would be highly desirable along with experience using Terraform, Docker and/or Hashicorp. You will also assist in the Level 3 support and troubleshooting for their Windows and Linux environments.This is an exciting time to be joining this company, who are in a strong growth phase and about to embark on a technology modernisation program to update their technology stack.To be successful in this role you will need:Tertiary qualifications coupled with relevant industry certifications (ITIL, MCP, AWS, Juniper etc)Demonstrated Systems Administration / System Engineering experienceProven experience working within Financial Service environmentsStrong experience and knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN / WAN, routing / switching, load balancers, firewalls etc)Demonstrated experience supporting, troubleshooting and configuring Windows and Linux environmentsSolid exposure with AWS along with hands-on experience with either Terraform, Docker or HashicorpScripting experience using Powershell or Shell would be desirableExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsSuperior customer service and teamwork skillsAn excellent salary package is on offer for the right candidate.
