Position overview :
The Senior Student Leaders are members of the Student Life team within the University Experience portfolio under the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic. There are two Student Life streams with positions available: Community Engagement, and Student Equity. When applying, please indicate which role you are interested in. Community Engagement: The ANU Student Life team is seeking Administration Assistants to support the Community Connect and ANU+ programs within the Community Engagement stream.
The ideal candidate will have well-developed communication and organisational skills, and an ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders. They will have a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, as well as being flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
Under the general direction of the Student Life Officer, CE the Administration Assistant, CE is responsible for providing administrative program support, responding to enquiries and assisting with the delivery of events, training, and workshops. They will also be required to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
This role will report to the Student Life Officer - Community Engagement
Student Equity: Want to help build an authentic student community that removes barriers to access, creates opportunities and encourages success?
The Student Equity stream within ANU Student Life is seeking Student Leaders to contribute to our delivery of several programs supporting students who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education.
Ideal candidates for this position will have leadership and workshop/event support experience. Candidates must be enthusiastic about engaging with students, facilitating engaging and meaningful events, and be committed to addressing inequity.
The Student Leaders will have the opportunity to co-design events and workshops, co-facilitate those events, and assist in the creation and provision of resources for students. Student Leaders will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, and may have the opportunity to assist in tasks more broadly within Student Life.

This includes rural, regional, remote, low-SES, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and first generation / first in family (if parents/guardians have not attended university or with an Out of Home Care experience).
