About the Youth Resilience Program Facilitator role:
CRCS has a creative resilience program that is specifically catered to young people aged 5-18 years at various locations within ACT region. The program is seeking Expression of Interest from multi-skilled and talented artists, therapists and youth workers, who are keen to provide innovative, professional and creative programs through this initiative. The position is currently fixed term part time (hours are negotiable) till end of June 2025 with the possibility of extension.

The position requires planning and delivery of innovative early intervention art, drama, creative writing, music or photography programs, and small arts-based projects, working towards defined outcomes, as well as the completion of administrative tasks to support the evaluation of the program.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following: Facilitate creative and recreational workshops for children and young people.Plan, design and deliver short-term programs and activities aimed to build resilience, encourage group connection.Transport equipment and art materials to and from classes.Undertake activities and duties associated with the programs and workshops. Essential requirements for the role: Relevant qualifications and/or experience as a class facilitator or teacher.Demonstrate experience working with young people experiencing or at risk of experiencing mental illness.Relevant qualifications and/or experience in art/drama/creative writing/music or photography. Additional requirements for the role: A valid driver's license and access to a roadworthy, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle are essential for this role to fulfill work-related requirements.CRCS employees must hold a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration and have this with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.CRCS employees are required to undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may affect their eligibility to work or performing the inherent requirements of their position.
