We have extensive experience working in the marine environment and fully understand the challenges faced when constructing and maintaining maritime infrastructure. Our multidisciplinary teams deliver integrated solutions to ports and maritime projects, drawing upon experience from projects both internationally and across Australia. Services include all stages of a project - from early planning, studies and concept work, through to detailed design and construction assistance and management.
The opportunity Our Ports and Maritime team works on various maritime infrastructure projects across the public, private and defence sectors. With strong growth across all sectors, we are looking for a Maritime Engineer to join our team in Brisbane.
Working on a wide variety of port and coastal engineering projects across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands, you'll be part of a team of highly skilled professionals who will help you advance your technical, client management, and job management skills.
This is a varied role that includes the design and delivery of ports and coastal projects with support from our technical specialists, as well as client liaison and design management. Working amongst a group of highly motivated professionals, you will step into a supportive culture where you can be involved, be heard, and belong. About you You will have a Civil Engineering degree and be, or be near to becoming, a Chartered Engineer (CPEng or equivalent). Building on your experience in port/marine infrastructure projects in a consulting environment, you are self-motivated and strive for technical excellence while exceeding client expectations. You are passionate about developing and motivating others, ensuring that the team works collaboratively to meet project deliverables.
A detailed knowledge of the Australian and local codes and technical standards applicable to the design of marine structures is preferred, and you will also be familiar with international codes and standards applicable to the maritime business (i.e., IBC, British Standards, PIANC, OCIMF, USACE).
