What You Will Be Working On As a Senior Strategic Project Officer, you'll play an instrumental role in guiding the City's growth through strategic planning and innovative land use strategies. Your expertise will support impactful projects aligned with the City's long-term vision, contributing to a balanced and sustainable future.
Key responsibilities include: Providing expert guidance on strategic planning projects, policy development, and regulatory compliance.Collaborating with stakeholders to create planning provisions, manage agreements, and drive land asset strategies.Conducting environmental and spatial analyses to support sustainable development and ensure community alignment.Overseeing project management for significant planning initiatives and coordinating cross-functional input.Engaging with the community and stakeholders to foster understanding and alignment on planning efforts.About You We are looking for a proactive and skilled professional who thrives on innovation and collaboration. To excel in this role, you will have:
Qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or a related field.Experience in a planning role within Local or State Government or private consultancy.A strong background in managing Local Planning Schemes, Local Planning Policies, and Strategic Projects.Comprehensive knowledge of Local Government's role in Planning.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.The ability to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively.What it is Like Working Here We are a values-led organisation guided by our belief that we:
