About the role Lead the development and implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Framework and Plans, and relevant measurement tools, across our Programs both international and domestic.
As the Senior Specialist, you will outline an overarching strategic approach to collecting and analysing program performance information data that will enable the organisation to understand and articulate the collective impact of our programs, work and inform future decision making.
Additionally, you will support the development and capability uplift in programs with a specific focus on development of Theories of Change, Program Logics and leading the design of MEL frameworks.
You will ensure we are meeting our strategic priorities within Programs and importantly, ensure we are able to articulate the impact and effectiveness of our work with partners and the communities we ultimately seek to benefit.
Day to Day you will Lead the development and implementation of MEL plans for a range of domestic and international programs that supports consistent data collection across thematic areas to demonstrate program impact.
This includes utilising a mix of monitoring, evaluation, reflection and research approaches.
Develop and deliver a strategy to build the capacity of program staff and partners to effectively monitor, evaluate and improve the delivery of their work.
Provide specialist support and advice to teams and/or partners in International and National settings, to embed relevant systems and measurement tools to support data collection that meets internal and external reporting requirements and privacy legislation.
Project manage large scale internal and external program evaluations, including liaising with external research institutions.
What you will bring Substantial experience within large humanitarian and/or social services organisations developing and implementing monitoring, evaluation and learning activities across a range of community-based programs, including the necessary supporting management processes Proven ability to successfully influence and build rapport across a range of teams and departments and to communicate complex data and evaluation insights in a simple yet compelling way to a range of audiences Proven project management experience and skills in leading cross organisational/multi-stakeholder processes Experience in capacity building in relation to data capture, evaluation literacy and translation of evaluation findings into clear, relevant actions Demonstrated ability to develop organisation wide strategies to capture consistent data to inform decisions, understand and articulate impact, and provide insights to improve service delivery Proven ability to design and implement a range of evaluation methodologies, including the ability to analyse large qualitative and quantitative data sets to provide insights on service improvements and high level collective impact across diverse programs Benefits that act for you, while you act for humanity Financial wellbeing: In addition to your salary, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
