Create impact as a Senior Specialist Lawyer – Corporate Join the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand.
YOUR ROLE As a Corporate Lawyer, you'll join IAG's high-performing legal team (awarded the 2022 Large Legal Team of the Year at the ACC Corporate Lawyer awards). This role will see you working closely with the business to provide corporate legal advice and champion ethical conduct and practices. In this diverse role, you will work across areas such as corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and general corporate advisory, with plenty of opportunities for development.
The corporate legal team works collaboratively together and establishes deep and effective relationships with business partners and stakeholders to understand their business drivers and strategic priorities.
This is a permanent role based in Sydney or Melbourne. ABOUT YOU Proven legal practice experience required in the areas of corporate and securities law, capital markets, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance, and general corporate advisory.Highly developed legal skills (e.g. written communications, advisory, contract drafting, relationship building).Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to proactively provide customer-centric solutions.Ability to triage multiple priorities and work autonomously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.A basic understanding of general insurance and/or the broader financial services industry is highly regarded, but not essential.Applications close Friday 8 November at 23:59 AEDT.
