The Opportunity:Urbis has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Spatial Analyst to join our team in Sydney!In this role you will be pivotal in providing GIS services including on-demand spatial maps, overlaying geographic information with data insights and play a vital role in shaping cities and communities through meaningful collaboration with internal stakeholders, and the development of innovative products using our data Lakehouse, AI platform, and human movement data.
You will:Liaise with consulting staff at all levels of the business to promote awareness of how spatial analysis can directly contribute to client outcomesConduct innovative spatial analytical workflows to solve complex client problemsCompose maps, with varying levels of complexity from simple to complex, aligning with corporate brand and standard product specificationsLead cartographic vision on all facets of map productionDrive the use of innovative spatial solutions by collaborating with all Urbis Business UnitsComply with, and contribute to the continuous improvement of occupational health and safety, and promote compliance by othersAbout you:5+ years of experience working in a similar roleA tertiary qualification in Geographic Information Systems (or equivalent) is preferredWorking knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, and A.G.O.L as well as Microsoft desktop suiteDemonstrated experience working with a wide variety of spatial data types, including their creation and maintenanceExperience with Python or similar coding languagesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to network with other spatial team members and clients to develop strong internal relationshipsStrong logical, analytical and data visualisation skillsWhy Urbis?Urbis is committed to fostering an inclusive, flexible, and diverse work environment.
