Three Blue Ducks at The Farm Byron Bay is set on an 80-acre farm and Macadamia Orchard with views of both the hinterland and Byron's iconic lighthouse.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will play a key role in elevating the culinary experience within Three Blue Ducks Kitchen Team, which provides a diverse range of services, including à la carte dining and events. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations, leading the kitchen team, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. Your culinary expertise and leadership skills will contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Skills & Experience
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, development, and execution. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and in accordance with health and safety regulations. Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory effectively. Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Assist in cost control and budget management, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency. Collaborate with the Head Chef to innovate and implement seasonal menus. Oversee food presentation and plating to ensure consistency and quality. Manage kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence, making decisions to resolve issues as they arise Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen. Culinary degree or equivalent professional training. Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and cuisines. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
