Senior Sourcing Officer

Our client is seeking a Senior Sourcing Officer to join their team. This role will be focused on executing complex sourcing strategies across the Deferred Maintenance program for medium-to-high-value projects. The successful candidate will manage diverse procurement operations and supplier relationships, focusing on value delivery, and oversee the contract management for projects with a level of complexity.
What you'll do:Oversee complete project sourcing activities ensuring compliance with procurement policy and principles.Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies across multiple categories for medium-value and complexity projects.Provide advice to the team around contracts, optimal procurement solutions and preferred supplier engagements.Coordinate and manage a range of procurement operations, ensuring governance requirements are met.Oversee supplier management initiatives, fostering collaborative relationships and ensuring value for money.Ensure contracts, letters of acceptance, work orders etc for projects are drafted and managed, incorporating all negotiated outcomes, scope of work and key performance indicators.Drive initiatives aimed at maturing the procurement services, focusing on strategic sourcing and category management.Engage and build strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitating discussion to address concerns and gather feedback.What you bring:Proven experience in executing complex sourcing strategies.Strong knowledge of procurement operations and contract management.Ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.Experience in drafting contracts, letters of acceptance, work orders etc.Understanding of governance requirements in procurement operations.Experience in strategic sourcing and category management.Ability to coordinate risk assessment activities within the work area.What sets this company apart:Our client is a leading institution known for its commitment to excellence and innovation. Salary: AUD130,000 - AUD150,000 per annum + 15.5% super
