Role – REQ Permanent Full-Time Gold Coast Oracle Banking Platform (OBP) required How will I help? The Solution Design function in Westpac plays an important role in the development of solution architecture and designs, ensuring that they align with domain and project architectures.
This role forms part of the BaaS Technology team and presents a unique opportunity to drive partner and product success embracing digital banking and fintech trends; whilst recognising the challenges of meeting the high customer service standards of our parent organisation and software suppliers'!
Role Responsibilities: In this role you will be responsible for driving and producing an end-to-end solution design to meet business objectives, architecture patterns, technology solutions and changes to service, process and/or operating models.
You will be required to lead features from requirements through to delivery execution with agile ways of working forming the basis of each activity and ensuring alignment across the stack.
On a day-to-day basis you will collaborate across teams and functions, working with vendors and various technology disciplines who are collectively driven to provide industry-leading solutions for the bank and its customers.
What do I need? To be successful in this role you will have strong knowledge in solution architecture, system design and contemporary IT practices.
You will have the ability to quickly understand the functions and capabilities of new technology, have advanced problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills.
You will have a firm understanding of a financial services operating environment, applications, and products.

Full stack technology Oracle Banking Platform Oracle SOA Suite Cloud technology Agile, SaFE ways of working Application development Our ideal candidate will have a financial services, personal lending, or application development background, with at least a tertiary level qualification in Information Technology (or equivalent) and is up to date on industry trends.
