About the Opportunity The primary purpose of the Senior Solicitor is to be accountableto the Director for:
The management of a team of professional staff, includingleadership, management, professional development andwellbeing.Responsible for the oversight of legal work within theteam, and for the conduct of complex and/or sensitive mattersin the Supreme Court, District Court and other courts.Contribute to the fulfilment of the ODPP corporateobligations and to proactively participate in the business ofthe ODPP.Promote safe work practises, wellbeing and diversity withinthe workplace.About the Business The ODPP is an office of approximately 175 staff, comprisingboth legal and administrative functions. The Office of the Directorof Public Prosecutions was established through the Director ofPublic Prosecutions Act, 1991 to provide an effective, fair andindependent criminal prosecution service for the people of SouthAustralia. The Office is committed to the highest ethical andprofessional standards.

Special Conditions for Employment Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificateclearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
A tertiary qualification in Law.
Eligible for admission or admitted as a Practitioner of theSupreme Court of South Australia.
Will be exposed, either directly or indirectly to confidential,sensitive, confronting and/or distressing material includingphotographs, written descriptions and other evidentiarymaterial.
