And, we're just getting started!With over 1,300+ global FlyMates, representing more than 40 nationalities, and in 12 offices world-wide, we're looking for FlyMates to join the next stage of our journey as we continue to grow.The Opportunity:We, at Flywire, are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer I, ideally with a background in EdTech/FinTech, for StudyLink Connect, a leading Application and Admission platform. Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain the StudyLink Connect product we've developed into the leading, cloud-based student admissions solution used by most of Australia's universities and TAFEs and a fast-growing number of international institutions. The StudyLink product team is driven by a passion to enable people everywhere to achieve their goals in education by creating technology that improves choice and decisions.You will be joining a team in charge of designing new functionalities and improving the current capabilities to improve features, speed, cost and scalability of our product. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, pragmatic design, building quality products and to convey the sensation that the product is the responsibility of all the team is essential.Write clean, high quality, testable, secure, maintainable and extendable codeSolve items such as challenging bugs and production issues within the development environmentWork on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.Exercise judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining resultsDesign, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable codeDrive change and improvement in all phases of the development lifecycleWork collaboratively with teams across the globe being able to understand their needs and role contextHere's What We're Looking For:4+ years of experience in web application development, CFML experience highly desirable.Strong understanding of object-oriented fundamentalsFamiliarity with relational databases, SQL proficiency highly favourableFluent in English, as it is the company's working languageExperience in EdTech, FinTech or the education or payment industry will be appreciatedThe ability to deliver high quality code and learn quicklyOutstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams including product and supportExperience in building and consuming APIsTechnologies We Use:CFML (Lucee), PythonDjango, FlaskReactAmazon RDS for PostgreSQL, Amazon AuroraDocker, Amazon ElastiCache (Redis), EventBridgeDesktop: MacWhat We Offer:Competitive compensation, including Restricted Stock UnitsEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Flying Start- Our immersive Global Induction ProgramDynamic & Global TeamWellbeing Programs with Global FlyMatesBe a meaningful part in our successCompetitive time off including FlyBetter Days to volunteerGreat Talent & Development ProgramsSubmit today and get started!We are excited to get to know you!
