Multiple Locations: Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne | Flexible Working Arrangements Contract Start Date: February 2024 | Baseline Clearance Required  We are seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers to join a dynamic and impactful team delivering critical technology solutions within a government environment.
This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise and leadership skills across multiple large-scale projects.
About the Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying software solutions across web/desktop applications, web services, and batch jobs.
Leveraging your expertise in C#, Microsoft .NET framework, and SQL Server , you will drive high-quality outcomes, solve complex problems, and provide technical leadership to the development team.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain ICT solutions using C#, .NET framework, SQL Server, and related technologies.
Translate business needs into system requirements and specifications.
Provide technical analysis, design, and prototyping of solutions.
Ensure quality, performance, and security of developed applications.
Monitor emerging technologies to improve tools, techniques, and processes.
Engage in technical leadership, mentoring team members as required.
Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in solution design and development with Microsoft technologies (.NET, C#, SQL Server).
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality system solutions in an ICT project environment.
Strong skills in software development, release management, and system integration.
Experience with Azure, PowerShell, and scripting languages.
Ability to monitor emerging technologies and translate them into actionable insights.
Desirable: Familiarity with Configuration Management practices and tools.
Work Environment: Initial on-site requirement for the first 6 weeks (Canberra, Brisbane, or Melbourne) before transitioning to flexible working arrangements (minimum 3 days per week onsite).
Baseline security clearance is required – candidates must be able to obtain this clearance prior to the start date.
