About the RoleIn this part time (.6) role as the Senior Service Planner (Integrated Catchment Management) you will be responsible for providing expertise and support to the Manager Service Programs, Land & Catchments in applying best practice integrated catchment management to develop integrated 5-10 year rolling investment programs.
The role will also lead the strategic oversight of the Incentives Program delivery mechanism (Liveable Communities, Liveable Waterways) and ensure cost effective and sustainable outcomes are achieved for incentives projects across Connected Habitats and Catchment Improvement, Science Innovation and Technology, Liveable Cities and IWM Enabler inventive themes.
Provide strategic oversight and partnership prioritization of the Incentives Program as a business wide delivery mechanism.Work collaboratively with internal partners and provide strategic guidance to the Waterways and Catchment Services Committee.Design implementation programs for Integrated Catchment Management Plans.Explore external revenue for biodiversity and catchment outcomes.Coordinate program execution of the internal Biodiversity Fund.Develop catchment related programs and technical objectives from the Regional Catchment Strategy, Natural Resource Management Plan, and Biodiversity Conservation Action Plan.Work with Service Futures, Service Enablement, Waterway Catchment Services and Waterway Catchment Delivery.Collaborate across portfolio Planner on overlapping programs.Demonstrate strategic planning skills and the ability to apply a holistic systems-thinking approach to work.Exhibit strong people skills, with the ability to influence others and experience in developing effective networks in a diverse and complex multiagency delivery environment.Have experience in working with grants or incentives schemes and complex partnerships.Possess experience in natural resource management.Demonstrate excellent people skills, along with high-level verbal and written communication skills in sensitive or complex circumstances.Show the ability to exercise leadership, work, and contribute to a team environment to improve policy, processes, and procedures, respond to various demands, and manage multiple activities simultaneously.At Melbourne Water, we care deeply about water and the life it sustains.
