About the role  We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate, vibrant and engaged team who will be responsible for: 
Performing all routine histological procedures from point of specimen reception to execution of results for Pathological diagnosis, including specimen dissection  Maintaining current scientific knowledge  Participation in both routine and audit related Quality Assurance activities  Contributing to continuous improvement and the development of new procedures as required  Participating in training staff  Liaising with internal and/ or external stakeholders (referring practitioners) regarding test results or referrals as necessary  Compliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance Processes About you  To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the essential requirements: 
Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and skills within Histology  Experience in troubleshooting Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification  Perform duties with a high degree of independence and with infrequent supervision  An outstanding commitment to quality and excellence  A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures  A positive attitude toward achieving outcomes and being a cohesive, contributing team member  Strong time management, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills  The ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment  Self-initiative and problem-solving capabilities  Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy  To be considered for this role you will possess appropriate tertiary qualifications, current & extensive cut up experience and demonstrated experience with training staff Benefits and Wellbeing As part of working for Healius, you will have access to a range of benefits including: A marketplace of exclusive discounts and vouchers from leading Australian and online retailers.
