FTE: Up to 1.0FTE
Salary Range: $86000 - $118000 (1.0 FTE)
Role Description
Seventh-day Adventist Schools (South Australia) Limited is seeking to appoint a senior science teacher with the ability to teach Chemistry to SACE Stage 1 and 2.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to become a member of the Science Team in a vibrant and dynamic school.
The position is initially offered as a fixed term contract until 12 December 2025, however there could be the possibility to increase the length of tenure subject to mutual agreement.
The School
Prescott College Southern is located 24km south of the Adelaide CBD.
The school has an enrolment of approximately 750 students from Foundation to Year 12.

Our preferred candidate will have knowledge and understanding of the Australian Curriculum and the ability to transfer best practice into the classroom, including the skills to differentiate the curriculum to cater for individual student needs.
They will be able to deliver an engaging learning program that meets the needs of their students while developing a positive classroom climate.
The successful applicant will have:
An excellent understanding of SACE and Senior Chemistry and the ability to develop this into an engaging and relevant classroom experience Skills in contemporary classroom practices to maximise student learning The ability to clearly communicate with students, colleagues and the wider community regarding educational and welfare issues of their students An understanding of the Australian Curriculum V9 and the ability to program and implement it successfully.
A personal faith and commitment to Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active engagement within their church community A willingness to commit to the ethos of the school An appropriate tertiary education degree Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (prior to commencement) A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and RRHAN certification Experience teaching SACE Chemistry in a school The ability to teach in another subject area could be advantageous A practical understanding of SEQTA as a learning management system A willingness to contribute to a variety of areas of school life Application Process
