RoleThe Senior mini school looks to provide high quality support to students to enable them to demonstrate the high expectations that we have of students around their learning, behaviour and attendance. The mini school focuses on learning, behaviour and attendance, the daily learning experience of students as well as other aspects for all students in year 10, 11 and 12 regardless of their needs and complexity. Our mini school team model these high expectations with all interactions with students, staff and parents/caregivers. It is a fast-paced environment with dynamic leaders working toward achieving set AIP goals as well as the College vision. All staff work with students as well as staff members on a regular basis to achieve these objectives enhance the students' experience at the College.
ResponsibilitiesCarry out allocated activities and tasks determined by the school consistent with role description.Assist senior students to maintain high expectations in their learning by providing high support to enable them to meet these expectations.Engage positively and model high expectations with students.Ensure rolls are marked by teachers.Contact parents about student absences. Ensure these are immediately followed up and appropriate attendance codes applied.Support and advise the year level team in following up students with low attendance.Sending absence letters to parents.Issue students with Late Passes and Uniform Passes.Support with data collection and visualisation to support school priorities.Follow the staged response to interventions and liaise with Administration leader to support student outcomes.Assist with the student census twice yearly.Creation of meeting documents.Suspension support.Liaise with and provide information to parents, students and staff.Assist with the organisation of school excursions and camps.Participate in professional learning activities.You will also be required to undertake any additional duties as requested by the Principal, Mini School Principal and Business Manager.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
