Client coverage lead for the Asset Management segment covering MSCI's full product suite including Index, ESG and climate solutions based in Sydney. Reporting to the Head of Coverage for Australia and New Zealand.

Position Background

MSCI's Australia and New Zealand business is looking to hire a commercially driven and results-oriented individual. This sales position is aimed at expanding and increasing the usage of our industry-leading suite of products across Index, ESG and Climate solutions to support our clients' investment decisions. This role requires the ability to build and develop strong client relationships, initiate and drive sales, and achieve revenue targets.

MSCI works with a range of institutional clients, and previous sales experience with one or more client segments including Asset Managers or Wealth platforms is desired. Previous sales experience in Index and ESG related business opportunities is beneficial.

Scope of Responsibility Sales coverage representing MSCI with Asset ManagersBuild a strong understanding of MSCI productsDevelop clear sales plans and strong sales pipeline for each allocated industry segmentAchieve quarterly and annual revenue targetsLead client engagement, needs assessment, and solution pitchesHigh-level contact with clients/prospects and other major industry participantsAddress client inquiries regarding products and solutionsMaintain accurate records regarding client account visits, client conversations, finalized contractsWork seamlessly with other MSCI teams across the APAC region and globe (Client Service, Research, Product Management, Legal, Operations) to solve client requests and needsCollaborate with other sales teams to achieve cross-segment opportunities and synergiesMonitor and manage client satisfaction and retentionProvide feedback from clients to Marketing, Sales, Research and Product Development groups Specific Knowledge/Skills Experience in investment/finance theory and portfolio managementProven sales closing skills and demonstrable track record in business developmentSuperior time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects Your skills and experience that will help you excel Desire to work in and contribute to a teamA team builder and player with emotional and professional maturityA commercially minded individual with drive and capacity to manage a dynamic, fast-paced environmentGood understanding of the financial services landscape including active and passive investment strategiesAbility to communicate effectively across the organization globally with colleagues across different functionsProficiency in written and spoken EnglishStrong sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processesUnderstanding of and in-depth experience dealing with major financial institutions, especially institutional investors, asset managers, banks in AustraliaStrong understanding of financial marketsMinimum of 10 years' experience in financial services, with some experience in management and leadership being desirableDemonstrated success in both individual achievement as well as teamwork Desired Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Required; CFA or Master's Degree preferredExcellence in spoken and written English required What we will offer you: Competitive fixed and variable compensation, holiday leave & superannuationEmployee Resource Groups to support you in and out of the officeA range of benefits including healthcare and risk insurancesAn opportunity to learn and succeed in a very successful company - plus have some fun.Flexibility and support to work remotely or at home as required.Coaching and support from experts in your teamA performance and growth-oriented culture and values About MSCI and our teams:
