About the Company Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Senior Safety Officer. This position is located in their busy Parramatta office.
About the Position The Senior Safety Officer provides high-quality Work Health and Safety (WHS) guidance, support, and advice with a whole-of-lifecycle approach to WHS applied to redevelopment projects across various project types.
Duties Lead the implementation of the WHS management system. WHS risk management, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and controls. Conducting WHS workshops. Proactively monitor legislation and regulations and recommend appropriate improvements. Conduct and/or facilitate regular audits. Support delivery teams in reporting WHS incidents, hazards, and near misses. Establish and maintain sound relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Maintaining compliance with the WHS Act. Maintaining a Quality Assurance approach by coordinating risk assessments, reviews, audits, and investigations. Requirements/Skills Tertiary qualifications in WHS or equivalent extensive WHS experience. Current Construction industry white card induction. Current NSW class C driver's license.
