We are currently seeking a Field Application Specialist who will be responsible for applications support of all Beckman Coulter Flow Cytometry products with specific focus on our research Flow product line with the opportunity to stretch into Clinical flow cytometry applications support. This position is part of the Life Science Flow Cytometry Applications team located in Melbourne, Australia.
This role is for a 14-month maternity cover. The role will require the person to be accountable for applications support of all Beckman Coulter Flow Cytometry products (research and clinical).
In this role, you'll be responsible for: Working with existing applications/sales specialists and our service team to provide high quality and responsive customer support through customer troubleshooting and problem resolution in a timely and professional manner following internal processes and guidelines.Successfully implementing roll-out, correlations, customer training, relevant validations, and transitions of flow cytometry hardware and reagents at new and existing customer sites.Following applications team best practices and suggesting appropriate improvements and strategies to achieve objectives.Assessing customer requirements and advising the sales team on the most appropriate products and solutions to fulfill these requirements.Carrying out product presentations/demonstrations for customers and associates as required.Supporting the preparation of tenders, quotations, and financial proposals for customers in conjunction with the sales team from a technical/applications focus and working closely with specialists in the Business Unit within Asia and globally.The essential requirements for the role include: A Science degree (or equivalent).At least 2 years of relevant experience working with multi-colour flow cytometers, cell sorters, and flow cytometry data analysis, within any of these environments: laboratory (doing sample testing), research project, flow cytometry facility management, applications role, or sales role.Technical flow cytometry experience in a clinical setting is desirable.Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of laboratory staff including lab staff, management, and key opinion leaders.High level of self-motivation ensuring the ability to work independently under minimal supervision with attention to detail while also being focused on meeting objectives.Australian resident with a current driver license and the ability to travel domestic/regional/international when required.Join our winning team today.
