Revenue's goal is to provide advice and assist in maximising the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service's (CQHHS) own source revenue activities.
Maximising revenue opportunities is essential for the health service to be efficient and ultimately continue to provide high quality patient services that meet patient needs and expectations.
Revenue also owns the recovery of patient and provider accounts, works to coordinate CQHHS debt collection submissions and patient account write off requests and delivers compliant and standardised financial customer accounting services.
About the role:Actively support CQHHS revenue initiatives and assist with the coordination, implementation and development of effective financial accounting and data collection processes.Reconcile monthly bank reconciliation for Patient Trust accounts including End of Month (EOM) financial reports.Prepare EOM accruals in line with required internal processes and to meet auditing requirements.Establish and maintain effective communication with staff of all levels, patients, and external agencies, providing advice and support on all matters relating to the Revenue Unit.About you:Possession of, or considerable progress towards attaining relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, business or finance is highly desirable.Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the Financial Administration Audit Act; Financial Management Standards for Queensland Health; and Admitted Patient Data Collection Manual.Highly effective interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to consult and communicate with staff at all levels and proven ability in negotiation and influencing.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $9,515 p.m. is comprised of:
