About the opportunity There is currently one (1) 5-year fixed-term position with the possibility of extension and/or permanency available for immediate filling.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Research Scientist to join Western Australia's leading soil research team. In this role you will be involved in several innovative research projects located in the heart of the wheatbelt agricultural region, working in a multi-faceted management role that brings together extension, communication, grower engagement and translational and development research. You will work towards making a positive impact in creating enduring economic prosperity for Western Australia and boosting the productivity, profitability, and international competitiveness of our grains industry.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual who can build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, managing projects, as well as previous experience collaboratively engaging with grain growers. You will have demonstrated scientific research experience and knowledge of agri-food industry systems and sustainable production. To be successful in this role you will have a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science or an approved equivalent.
This position can be based at any of the following locations: Northam, Albany, Geraldton, Merredin & Esperance.
